 ALBERTO STEFANA, Ph.D.

PSYCHOLOGIST PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Dr. Alberto Stefana is a psychologist, psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and academic researcher. He currently conducts his clinical practice, focused on adults, at his private practice located in Brescia. Prior to this, he worked for a number of years at the psychiatry unit of the Spedali Civili of Brescia.

Dr. Stefana conducts research in clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, and psychiatry both individually and in collaboration with national and international research groups at the Department of Nervous System and Behavioral Sciences, University of Pavia. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio, United States). Previously, Dr. Stefana was a recipient of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship awarded by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) of the European Commission.

He has published over one hundred scientific articles in indexed journals and five books with Routledge. Furthermore, he is the co-editor of the forthcoming book Telepsychotherapy and Mental Health Services: Evidence-based Therapeutic Approaches, to be published by Springer.

 

Dr. Stefana is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR).
